July 1924 Japan Power Association was set up in response to found World Power Conference (JPA was dissolved in April 1944, during World War II.)
December 1950 Japan Power Association was established as an incorporated organisation.
July 1951 Japan was re-permitted its membership in the World Energy Council, and then set up the Japanese Member Committee.
December 1951 Daigoro Yasukawa (Board Chairman of Yasukawa Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) took over from Dr. Yoshio Nishina as President of Japan Power Association.
June 1956 “Japan Power and Fuel Year Book 1956” was published. (It was presented to members at The WEC 5th Congress.)
October 1966 The 15th WEC Sectional Meeting was held in Tokyo to discuss “Future Problems in the Use of Energy” as a theme for congressional debate.
March 1970 The first meeting of the “WEC Special Committee on Environmental Issues” was held in Hakone, Japan. (The final report of this Committee was presented to the U. N. conference on the human environment in Stockholm in 1972.)
December 1970 The 20th Anniversary of Japan Power Association was marked with holding a lecture meeting and the publication of books on “Japanese and Foreign energy industries”.
February 1976 The 25th Anniversary of Japan Power Association was marked with a lecture meeting.
December 1980 A meeting was held to report on The WEC 11th Munich Congress and to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Association.
December 1990 The 40th Anniversary of Japan Energy Association was marked with a commemoration ceremony, a lecture meeting and the publication of a special number of the periodical “Energy” in commemoration of the occasion.

November 1992 A meeting was held to report on The WEC 15th Madrid Congress and also a special lecture meeting was held.
April 1994 A meeting of the WEC Administrative Committee was held in Makuhari, Chiba Prefecture. Prince and Princess of Crown met the WEC top executives and members of the Administrative Committee.
May 1994 Mr. Ichiro Hori retired and Mr. Shige-etsu Miyahara (former Vice President of The Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc.) was appointed as Chairman of the JEA and Chairman of Japanese MC/WEC.
November 1994 A pre-symposium of The WEC Tokyo Congress was held at Royal Park Hotel, Tokyo.
December 1994 A pre-symposium of the WEC Tokyo Congress was held at Nakanoshima Centre Building, Osaka.
January 1995 A pre-symposium of the WEC Tokyo Congress was held at Denki Bunka Kaikan, Nagoya.
October 1995 The WEC 16th Tokyo Congress and the EA Meeting 1995 were held at Makuhari-Messe, Chiba.

December 1995 Report Meeting of The WEC 16th Tokyo Congress was took place with 300 participants.
July 1996 The Association moved its office to Howa-Mita-Tsunasaka Bldg. at 2-7-7 Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
October 1997 The Symposium on Global Warming was held by the Association in Tokyo.
March 1998 The Energy Top Seminar was held.
October 1998 The WEC 17th Houston Congress was held at George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, U. S. A., under the theme of “Energy & Technology

Sustaining World Development into the Next Millennium” .(5000 participants from 100 countries, includes 202 participants and 30 exhibitors from Japan)

Executive Assembly Meeting 1998 and the first Asia Pacific Regional Meeting were also held concurrently with the Congress.
November 1998 Report Meeting of WEC 17th Houston Congress was held with 336 participants for Report Meeting and 272 for Communication Party.
October 2000 In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of JEA, a record book of “The JEA 50th Anniversary History” was complied.
October 2000 WEC Asia Pacific Regional Forum was held at Tokyo International Forum with the delegates of twenty countries and eight International Organizations, and the numbers of whole participants reached 600.
October 2001 The WEC 18th Buenos Aires Congress was held in Argentina under the theme of “Energy Market: The Challenges of the New Millennium” (3,000 Participants from 100 countries, including 100 participants from Japan)
January 2002 Report Meeting of WEC 18th Buenos Aires Congress was held with 250 participants.
November 2002 The Symposium on “The Key Technologies for the Development of Fossil Fuel” was held with 200 Participants.
February 2004 The Energy Top Seminar was held.
November 2004 Report Meeting of WEC 19th Sydney Congress was held with 200 participants.
July 2005 WEC Asia Pacific Regional Forum was held in Nagoya with the delegates of 15 countries and the numbers of whole participants reached 255.
The theme of the Forum was “Long-term energy perspective and challenges”.
November 2006 The Energy Top Executives Seminar was held.
December 2007 Report Meeting of WEC 20th Rome Congress was held with 200 participants.
May 2008 Mr. Teruaki Masumoto (former Vice President of The Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc.) was appointed as Chairman of the JEA and Chairman of Japanese MC/WEC.
September 2008 Organized WEC Asia Regional Symposium under the theme of “Challenges to improve energy efficiency of Coal-fired Power Plants in Asia” (340 participants from over 6 countries)
October 2008 Organized Japan Energy Association Symposium: “The Innovative Mobility Technologies and Their Fuel”(200 participants)
April 2009 FY 2009 Electricity Supply Plan Hearing Seminar was held.
October 2009 The Energy Top Executives Seminar was held.
April 2010 FY 2010 Electricity Supply Plan Hearing Seminar was held.
September 2010 The WEC 21st Montreal Congress was held in Canada under the theme of “Responding NOW to Global Challenges Energy in transition for a living planet” with over 7,000 participants from 137 countries, including about 130 participants from Japan.
November 2010 Report Meeting of WEC 21st Montreal Congress was held.
November 2010 Organized Symposium on “World Energy and Climate Policy Assessment”
January 2011 The Association moved to its office to Kawate Building at 1-5-8 Nishi-Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo
October 2011 Organized Symposium on “Challenges to Efficient and Clean Use of Coal in Asian Region”
October 2012 Organized Symposium on “World LNG Market”
October 2013 The WEC 22st Daegu Congress was held in Korea under the theme of “Securing Tomorrow's Energy Today” with over 7,500 participants, including about 250 participants from Japan.
December 2014 The Energy Top Executives Seminar was held.
April 2015 FY 2015 Electricity Supply Plan Hearing Seminar was held.
September 2015 Organized Symposium on “Energy Choices Role of Nuclear in the World and Japan”
